Longview Schools - Middle School Summer Learning July 6th-July 29th, 2022 from 8:45am to 2:45pm
We are excited to offer your student a month long program that includes theme based middle school instruction. This summer program is specifically designed to prevent summer learning loss while providing an exciting learning experience to students as they prepare to move to the next grade.
While this is a district-wide program open to all Longview middle schoolers, this summer’s location will be at Monticello Middle School. Longview school district staff is excited to be collaborating with Lower Columbia School Gardens and the City of Longview Parks & Recreation to bring both academics and recreation to your child. This is an in-person only learning opportunity.
Longview Recreation instructors will lead summer school students in a variety of Discovery Camps to give students a full (school) day of enrichment and education. Students will learn new skills and discover fun experiences with cooking, sports and games, arts & crafts, outdoor exploration and more. The outdoor learning component will focus on connecting with nature and applying practical gardening skills.
Sign up early! Subject to staff availability, the first 150 students will be admitted and others will be placed on a wait list if spots open.
For more information, please contact your child's school or leave a voicemail on the Middle School Summer Learning message line at (360) 575-7515.
