Ignite (Sun 5 July – Fri 10 July 2026), Cambridge  p2i Network Application form

The week long, residential Ignite programme is aimed at researchers with entrepreneurial ambition who have a developed business idea or early–stage venture in the technology or life sciences sectors. This programme is not for researchers exploring entrepreneurship or with only an initial early stage idea. 

The programme structure enables support to be tailored to fit the individual business idea and to focus on specific issues such as business model, go-to-market strategy, investment readiness and building a team. At the end of the programme, participants will present their ideas to the pitching panel of investors and senior industry representatives to obtain real-time feedback.

This intense course is available to postdocs from current p2i partner organisations (see below*)

HOW TO APPLY
Please note that there is a two step application process:

Step 1:
Apply using this form to the p2i Network partners. The p2i partners will select the postdocs who can then directly apply the Ignite programme


Step 2:
If you are successful in Step 1, you will be asked to apply directly with the organisers of the  Ignite programme through their online application form. They will then contact you for an interview.

If you have been accepted onto the programme, the p2i Network will sponsor the registration costs of the course. p2i also covers your travel and accommodation costs via reimbursement (registration costs:£1300 for Ignite)

APPLICATION DEADLINE STEP 1 is noon 13 April 2026

Successful/unsuccessful applicants will be shortly after 13 April and will need to confirm that they accept

Do not apply directly to Ignite programme before you have heard that your Step 1 application has been successful.
If you have been selected by the p2i partners, then you can apply directly to the Ignite programme - they will then follow up with an interview before you are accepted onto the programme
