Community Organizing Training
Organizing means building and growing meaningful community relationships based on shared values and common concerns. Developing local relationships builds a constituency that can organize support and facilitate change. Your participation in this Community Organizing Training will equip you with tools to develop leadership skills and to bring about social change. Workshops may include: meeting facilitation, new member recruitment, and media communication -- and we'd like to hear from you about which skills you'd like to sharpen! By deepening your knowledge about power, strategy, and how to identify local issues, you can become a leader for change in your community.

The training is sponsored by community organizations in Washington County: Washington County Independent Neighbors (WIN), the Young Appalachian Patriots (YAP), the Appalachian Peace Education Center (APEC), and Virginia Organizing. We look forward to connecting with you!
