ICJS aims to create small communities of interreligious learning and support among Maryland spiritual care providers. Each spirituality group will meet virtually for 9 sessions on a monthly basis for spiritual reflection and sharing. Each group member is expected to facilitate one session, sharing a spiritual practice or topic of discussion for 30 minutes, or a 5 minute opening/closing activity or ritual. In addition to time for spiritual support and sustenance, each 90-minute gathering will include case studies for professional development. This time is designated for group members to receive feedback or advice about a situation in their place of employment that has been a challenge or has presented itself as an opportunity for growth and learning.
Due to limited space and the desire to keep the groups small, we ask that you only apply if you are able to fully engage and commit to all 9 sessions (except in the case of an emergency or previously scheduled appointment). We are prioritizing Maryland spiritual care providers and will have a wait list for individuals who are interested in participating if space opens up or when groups are offered in the future. Depending on how many people are on the waitlist we may also run several groups to accommodate interested individuals.
