The role of WBMRI for inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases: a Survey by the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR)
The essential role of conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the detection and assessment of the extent of musculoskeletal inflammatory diseases in children and adults is very well established. Even if Whole Body MRI (WBMRI) has the advantage of documenting multifocal inflammatory myopathy or joint diseases, its application is still controversial.
Therefore, by participating to this survey you will help the Scientific Community better understanding the overall role of WBMRI for inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases and improving its future applications.
The survey will take around 15 minutes, it is composed of a first section about adults and a second one about pediatric patients.
Your participation is voluntary and can be interrupted at any moment. Data anonymization will be applied. If you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact the project leaders: Dr. Chiara Giraudo (

Thank you very much in advance for participating!
