School Garden Educator Scholarship Application
Through the generosity of Smith's Zero Hunger/ Zero Waste Initiative, Healthy Communities Coalition is pleased to be able to offer scholarships for Lyon County educators who are interested in furthering their knowledge of school gardening to attend Life Lab’s School Garden Educator Certification Program. Up to 4 scholarship recipients will be selected to have their fees paid for one course, an award of $440.00. Interested parties are welcome to register for the courses outside of this scholarship opportunity, at a cost of $440.00 per course or the bundle price for all four courses of $1,400.00.
The School Garden Educator Certification Program is being offered through Life Lab. Life Lab has 40 years of experience in the school garden movement and has put together a series of 4 online courses. Those who complete the course will receive a certificate and the distinction of being a Life Lab Certified Garden Educator. Each course will last approx. eight weeks and includes self-paced at-home work and a unique coaching model.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a panel from Healthy Communities Coalition. In order to be eligible to receive a scholarship, interested applicants must complete the application form below. Applicants are welcome to apply for scholarships to multiple courses. A separate application must be submitted for each course.
Scholarship Applications MUST be submitted by noon Pacific Standard Time on January 15, 2021 to be considered. Recipients will be notified on Monday, January 18.
