1. How much does a field trip cost?

A field trip costs $8 per child. Adults and chaperones are included in this cost.

2. What is included in the cost of a field trip?

The cost covers a range of activities such as a tractor wagon ride, a small pumpkin from the wagon for each child, a self-guided tour of farm activities like visiting the farm animals, going through the corn maze, a fossil dig, hay bale play area, skee-ball game, grain bin barn play area, and more. Each child also receives an apple cider donut and a cup of cider. *chaperones not included in free donut/cider*

3. What if it rains?

If it rains, we have indoor activities like visiting the farm animals and playing in the grain bin barn. We recommend dressing for the weather, especially if it has been rainy in the days leading up to your scheduled field trip. Our walkways are stone gravel, but there are muddy areas like the corn maze if it has rained. The tractor wagon operates in inclement weather unless the conditions are unsafe.

4. What if we have to cancel?

If you need to cancel for any reason, we'll do our best to reschedule based on availability.

5. Is there a deposit required?

No deposit is required for our field trips. All payments must be done by November 1st.

6. What is your payment policy?

You can either pay on-site before the start of the event (cash, check), pay online before the event, or we can invoice your district. We'll provide more information in a follow-up email X days before the trip.

7. How much time should we plan on spending there?

Plan to spend 1-2 hours on the field trip, depending on how long you spend with each activity.

8. What is your arrival procedure?

Upon arrival, school buses will be met by our field trip coordinator at the entrance. School personnel in charge should identify themselves to the field trip coordinator. They should also inform the coordinator about the number of students for snack purposes. The coordinator will guide the first class to the wagon ride area and start the first wagon ride. Each class will rotate through activities.

9. What should students wear or bring?

Students should wear weather-appropriate footwear and outerwear. No flip-flops or open-toed shoes are allowed. Teachers should inform students and their parents about the weather forecast a day before the field trip.

10. What should teachers/ adults wear or bring?

Teachers/ adults should bring sharpies if they plan to write names on children's pumpkins, as well as bags or boxes for pumpkin transport. Teachers need to indicate if students will be eating their lunches at the pumpkin patch as we have picnic tables available.
