Nominate an individual, team, or group of individuals within DivOps who: promote safety, courtesy, responsiveness, and efficiency in achieving goals; embody a shared sense of responsibility; exemplify “Who else needs to know?” throughout the team, division, and university.
OPS SUPER LEADER: Who SCoREs as a leader in your playbook? Nominate a fellow DivOps team-member, supervisor, or manager who models and reinforces the Division’s commitment to Service in Action by: investing time and effort in coaching and / or mentoring their staff; supporting and motivating staff in the achievement of their goals; regularly distributing and reinforcing information about the Division and the university; and providing opportunities for staff to be involved in decisions and initiatives.
POSITIVE ATTITUDE: Who SCoREs with a smile?! Nominate a DivOps member who: is enthusiastic and supportive; sees the glass as half full; promotes optimism and morale boosting.
SAFETY FIRST: Understands that without Safety, there can be no SCoRE. Nominate an individual or group that promotes a safe work environment by: proactively looking for hazards and working to correct them throughout the campus for students, faculty, staff, visitors; following university, Division of Operations, and other professional guidelines; escalating unsafe working conditions and/or behavior to the appropriate individual(s) or office(s).
INNOVATION: SCoRE in creative ways. Nominate a fellow DivOps team member who: regularly shares ideas to improve/strengthen the Division of Operations; finds new and more efficient ways to do the job right the first time; thinks “outside the box.”
NOTABLE NEWCOMER (new employee 6-12 months): SCoRE-d in the first round! Nominate a new DivOps team-member who has immediately embraced the Division’s culture of service by: demonstrating a commitment to Service in Action; performing above and beyond expectations; actively seeking opportunities to engage with the Division and the GW community as a whole.
OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE: What would SCoRE be without service? Nominate a fellow DivOps team member or group that “goes the extra mile” to provide quality service by: understanding that it takes all of our SCoRE commitments to provide quality service; demonstrating that a commitment to Service in Action is a commitment not only to our customers, but to our fellow DivOps colleagues; demonstrating consistent reliability, accuracy, and punctuality in customer service; being accountable and courteous to both external customers and fellow DivOps colleagues; embracing obstacles as opportunities to improve the customer’s experience.
PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE: SCoREs consistently! Nominate a fellow DivOps team member or group that: strives for excellence in all areas by putting the university commitments and Division values at the heart of their work; exemplifies what it means to be a member of Division of Operations and the GW community (by attending trainings, giving and accepting feedback, volunteering); supports DivOps and university-wide efforts and initiatives; works with the greater GW community to enhance the university’s reputation as an employer, research institution, and education provider.
SUSTAINABLE HERO: An individual or team that strives to SCoRE a healthy and thriving future for the GW community and the world by: introducing and incorporating sustainable practices into work activities; promoting conservation and discouraging waste; understanding that even minor changes can have a sustainable impact.
