PLEASE TAKE THESE TESTS SERIOUSLY. YOUR RESULTS MAY IMPACT YOUR LENGTH OF STAY AT FULLERTON COLLEGE.
The Evaluation of Learning Skills are tests of basic academic skills. The tests are used for RECOMMENDED placement in ENGLISH writing, MATHEMATICS, READING or ENGLISH as a SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL).
The Assessment test is not a pass or fail test. In conjunction with a meeting with a counselor, the test will help identify the correct course for your placement, so you can be a successful student at Fullerton College.
All Students need to have their skills evaluated prior to their counseling appointment or registration.
Students have the right to challenge, appeal or petition to be exempted from any step in the Matriculation process. Please see the Counseling Center to challenge any placement recommendations.
WARNING: once you have remained enrolled in a course long enough for a grade or a "W" to register on your transcript (if you were to drop the class), you are locked into the sequence and will not be allowed to retake the assessment test or skip a level.
