Watmough Book Tender 2017
Dr Richard Watmough, an entomologist and long-standing member of the Magaliesberg Section of the Mountain Club of South Africa, bequeathed his collection of rare and valuable books to the Magaliesberg Section. These books deal with a wide variety of topics mainly relating to the natural world; trees, animals, birds, insects, butterflies, etc. A list of the books is available on the Magaliesberg Section website www.mcsamagalies.co.za or at the link at the bottom of this page. Some of these books are very valuable, some are Africana and some have been out of print for a long time.

The Magaliesberg Section holds club evenings at the MAG club house in Rietondale every second Tuesday at 19:00, at which times the books may be viewed, or by prior e-mail arrangement with the organiser Otti Neser (ocneser@gmail.com). The programme is also available on the website listed above.
The books will be on tender for two months, starting on Mon 3 April and ending on Sat 3 June 2017. Tenders should be for individual books or sets, and the listed price is a guide only.
Persons whose tenders have been successful will be informed by email.
Payment should be into the MAG MCSA bank account (details will be given at that stage) and proof of payment must be sent within 2 weeks after receiving notice of a successful tender.
The Club will not be able to mail the books; people would have to collect the books themselves at club evenings every second Tuesday at the MAG club house in Rietondale, Pretoria or arrange for someone to collect the books on their behalf. Full details will be given on acceptance of tenders.
