The SEAD Project presents SEA Roots: Language Workshops - Hmong, Khmer, Lao, and Viet language literacy workshops in 8 weeks; integrated with elements of culture and storytelling. Classes are led by a team of fluent and qualified Hmong, Khmer, Lao, and Viet instructors.

All information submitted in this form is confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of the language program.

***Please read below carefully before registering***

SEA Roots: Language Workshops are open to students who are 17+ years old and/or have Hmong, Khmer, Lao and Viet heritage background in the language they are registering.* All fluency levels welcome.

*PLEASE NOTE: Hmong class is open to the general public (anyone can take it). Khmer and Viet classes are pilot classes and are open to Khmer and Viet heritage students ONLY (only those who identify as having heritage).

***FALL 2019 ANNOUNCEMENT: There will be no Lao class offered for Fall 2019. We hope to offer the Lao class again starting Spring 2020***

Fee: $200.00
Deadline: Friday, August 30th at 11:59PM

Full or Partial Scholarships are available to need-based students, please email for more info. Deadline to apply for a scholarship is Friday, August 16th at 11:59PM.

The fee covers teachers' time, coursebooks, resources, and in-class materials. To secure your place in class, please complete this form and send payment on the SAME DAY you register. You will not receive a confirmation email from us until your payment has been received by SEAD, even if you complete the rest of the registration form.

• Orientation is Saturday, September 14th at 9:30AM
• Classes are held every Saturday, from 9:30AM to 1:00PM from September 14th - November 2nd
• Vietnamese class will be held in Saint Paul; all others are held in North Minneapolis
• You will receive more information the week before classes begin
