8. The Lilith Fund is an all-volunteer board. As part of a working board, you must commit to working at least 5 hours a week towards board activities. What are your other social, academic, volunteer, personal commitments? *

Because our board spans multiple cities throughout Texas, much of the board’s work is done via various communication and collaboration tools (email, Google docs, Google hangouts, conference calls). Email traffic can be high, but on average, board members can expect between 5-15 emails per week. Often, timely responses are necessary in order to meet deadlines and ensure that the board’s business is achieved. Are you comfortable with email, Google docs and hangouts, and other communication and collaboration tools, or do you foresee possible challenges in using them? *

10. Lilith Fund meetings and events take place in several cities throughout Texas (primarily Houston, San Antonio, and Austin). Are you willing to travel (sometimes at your own expense or with the assistance of travel reimbursements) to other cities for some board meetings, trainings, retreats and fundraisers? *
