Volunteer Sign-Up for the Victoria Open Karate Championships 2024
Saturday, June 1 5-7pm Set-up

Sunday, June 2 8:30am to 5pm tournament, plus wrap-up 5-6pm

Optional Volunteer training in-person & on zoom Date Thursday, May 30, 7:30pm-8:30pm

Thank you for your interest to volunteer for the Vic Open!

It's a huge source of pride for the club to host an event for our Junior, Teen & Adult students and the karate community.

Roles required;

Saturday set-up 5-7pm
Team Kenzen members & 3-4 parents to help load and move equipment from Kenzen Dojo to Central Middle School, lay down mats for 3 rings plus tables/chairs

Sunday competition
8:30am final volunteer meeting, 9:5am opening ceremony, 9:30am competition starts

Scorekeeper - 4 volunteers at each of the 3 competition rings (tatami mats)

Marshalling - 2 volunteers supervising athletes from warm-up area to competition rings plus helper for each ring preparing athletes before their bout.

Lunch room coordinator - 2 volunteers supervising food/drinks for officials, volunteers and coaches

Photographer - 1 volunteer needed to catch action moments and medal presentations

5-6pm Wrap-up approximately, Team Kenzen also required to help

**Lunch and refreshments are provided for volunteers.
