Presented by ANROE, the Anchorage Park Foundation, and Alaska Project Learning Tree, the 2026 Alaska Outdoor and Environmental Education Symposium brings together a network of educators, programs, and leaders dedicated to building
community, advancing professional skills, engaging in environmental education and strengthening outdoor programs that benefit all of Alaska.
This year, the symposium will be at Kincaid Park Chalet in Anchorage, AK on February 27, 2026 with the theme:
Bridging Communities through Outdoor Learning
Calling for Session Proposals!
Sessions should highlight the theme and can be indoors or outdoors.
This year, we hope to have an emphasis for lessons that can be taught outside, utilizing space at Kincaid Park (if weather allows) including groomed trails, covered outdoor space, the forest and open outdoor space. (Indoor space will be available to all presenters as alternative option for inclement weather).
Sessions will be concurrent, 1 hour long, and should fall under one or more of the pillars listed.
Proposals are due January 9, 2026
