Strykersville, New York

We, the undersigned, proudly support the creation of the Women of Valor Memorial and Veterans & Community Center, a one-of-a-kind national project located in Strykersville, NY. This center will serve as:

• The first national memorial honoring all women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces—whether in combat, through illness, or during training

• A veterans center offering space, programs, and support for those who have served

• A vibrant community center open to all, fostering education, connection, and civic pride

The memorial is inspired by Army Specialist Cari Anne Gasiewicz, who died while serving in Iraq, and whose sacrifice represents the courage and legacy of so many others whose names deserve to be remembered.

We believe this project will be a powerful symbol of remembrance, healing, and unity for our community and nation.

We respectfully urge the Sheldon Town Board and Zoning Board of Appeals to approve the necessary variances and help bring this historic project to life.
