Recent controversies over cross-cultural and non-traditional casting in theater and film have highlighted continuing inequalities and challenges with regards to representation that mirror larger issues in American society. Join Wesley Morris (The New York Times), Ju Yon Kim (Harvard University Department of English), and Brian Herrera (Princeton University Program in Theater) for a conversation based on these themes and inspired by the Houghton Library exhibition Treading the Borders: Immigration and the American Stage.
