I Would Like to Volunteer at Shaare Torah
It takes a lot of work to manage a full range of synagogue activities. If you are available to join any of the following committees or if you can occasionally offer your talents for individual projects please let us know and the appropriate volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you.

Your answer
I have skills to offer on an occasional basis.
Not everyone is available to join a committee. If you can't join a committee now but can occasionally be available for the following tasks or you have other talents to lend to the shul, please let us know.
High Holiday Ushering
If you are willing to greet people and help them find seats during a single two-hour shift this year, please click "yes."
Kiddush Committee
If you can occasionally help to set out food and/or clean up the after-service kiddush on Saturdays, please click "yes."
Chessed Committee
Are you willing to be listed as "on call" to help members of the congregation during periods of sickness or other hardship? Know that if one of the chessed committee chairs calls on you, we will simply ask if you are available to help in that situation at that time. We do not expect that you will always drop everything when we call. These are the kinds of activities we would ask you to help with: providing a meal, giving a ride, running an errand, making a friendly visit, helping with a chore.
House Committee
If you can meet regularly with a team to make plans and decisions about the condition and maintenance of our building and grounds, get your hands dirty with odd jobs, serve as eyes on the building--watching for issues that we need to deal with, and occasionally conduct outside research (for example meeting with window treatment companies) please click "yes."
Programming Committee
If you are available to work on any aspect of putting together special events such as canoe trips, prospective members dinners, Purim entertainment, etc... please join this committee. We have lots of ways for you to be involved: making arrangements with outside entities, advertising, preparing food, shopping for supplies, decorating, coordinating groups of people, arranging or presenting entertainment, keeping track of registration, taking photos...
Youth Committee
This committee supports the shul's children's programs with the following services: all kinds of communicating, decorating the classrooms, washing and making minor repairs to toys and furnishings, getting supplies ready for upcoming projects, and non-specific teachers' aid tasks. Would you like to join us? (Note that the actual programming is conducted by staff, not by this committee.)
Fundraising Committee
This is a fun results-oriented committee. Our work includes lots of talking, writing, planning, and researching. Can you help us generate financial support for our shul?
Membership Committee
Please check "yes" if you can help to inform people about our shul and make them feel welcome. Our committee members might: host people at a meal or other event at home, make phone calls, conduct informal research to identify prospective members, serve as informal Shaare Torah liaisons at other organizations, make "welcome" visits to new neighbors, etc...
Cemetery Committee
This committee arranges for cemetery maintenance and is in charge of cemetery policies. If you can attend occasional meetings, host holiday cemetery visits, occasionally help to clean-up the cemetery, and participate in decision-making, click "yes."
