The Scheduling Process
Due to enrollment and staffing changes that occur throughout the summer, final class lists will not be complete until late August. As we create the class lists for next school year, we will take several factors into consideration (not listed in rank order):
• Current Teacher Input
• Academic Needs
• Parent/Guardian Input
• Behavioral or Social Needs
• Administrative Input
• Students in Special Programs
• Work Habits and Motivation
• Consideration of Teaching and Learning Styles
• Class Sizes
• Support Programs
• Interpersonal Relationships
• Boy/Girl Ratio
Time and care will be taken to create balanced classes using the following process:
• Parents may provide input by completing this Classroom Placement Input Form
• The principal will review the placement input forms to gain insight from the parents/guardians about their child and make a recommendation on placement
• Current grade level and special education teachers will make placement recommendations
• The principal will review all of the placement recommendations
