New Singer - Common Woman Chorus
Please complete this form to let us know of your interest in joining the chorus and so we can get to you know you better. Here's a little info about joining the chorus:
- Singers can join twice a year, at the beginning of each semester in August and again in January or February.
- We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Garrett Rd. in Durham.
- New singers are welcome to come to rehearsal the first two weeks to try us out.
- We are a non-auditioned chorus and anyone who can sing on the treble clef is welcome, regardless of gender identity.
- While we do not audition, our artistic director will schedule time with you, usually with a few others, for voice placement. This helps us know what voice part you should be singing. This is a short session before rehearsal in the first couple of weeks.
- Once you know for sure you want to join CWC, you will also need to complete our Membership form so you can formally register for the semester.

The Common Woman Chorus unites a choral community of richly diverse voices to nurture high quality musicianship and to be a beacon for justice, equality, and love through the healing power of music. Membership is open to all woman-identified, gender-nonconforming, and transgender individuals, with a goal of diversity in ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, interests, and beliefs.
