Are you a PGR alumni or current PGR student at the University of St Andrews? And did you experience or are you currently experiencing imposter phenomenon? If yes, we need your help! Will you please consider completing our brief survey.
Imposter phenomenon (also known as imposter syndrome) is a self-perception where one believes that they are an intellectual fraud, soon to be exposed. This feeling is not uncommon amongst PGR students, and we are currently developing interventions to help raise awareness of the phenomena and help students manage these feelings.
We would like to create a series of posters that present quotes from past and present PGR students summarising their experiences with imposter phenomenon. We will then display these posters around campus, showing students that they are not alone in feeling this way.
Anonymity will be maintained on these posters, and you are welcome to answer as few or as many questions in the survey as you would like.
