Paper Presentation 2017 - Registration
About:
The Paper Presentation is a competition which gives students the opportunity to submit an academic paper in relation to a legal issue of their choice. This competition consists of a written submission and an oral presentation. The written submission must be between 2,500 - 5000 words, and adhere to the criteria provided in the rules. The oral presentation lasts for 15 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes of questions from the judges. This gives the student the opportunity to present their paper and engage in discussion with the judges. This competition aims to promote legal scholarship, oratory skills and the chance to present controversial issues in an informative manner.

Students may be in any year of law, and need not present about a designated area of law for success in this competition.

Schedule:
Friday 5:00pm Week 5 - Registration closes
Friday 5:00pm Week 6 - Paper submissions due
Week 7 - Presentation rounds occur
Week 9 - Make up round/final round if applicable

As this competition involves fewer participants than team competitions, the registered competitors will be contacted by the relevant competitions department officer to arrange presentation rounds as convenient for the judging panel.
