Summer Program Inquiry Form - Minecraft with TechLX
Minecraft in school?! Yep! In this fun and practical two-week camp, students will learn the basics of JavaScript coding while creating their very own Minecraft world. Using programming fundamentals such as functions, variables, loops and conditionals, students will use a unique platform called VanillaMod to convert their JavaScript code into a Minecraft universe.

By the end of the 1-week camp, students will have harnessed Minecraft as a game engine to build an Adventure Map. Example projects include Parkour Maps, Battle Arenas and Role-Playing Games. Best of all, students can invite their friends to come experience their creations via the TechLX Minecraft Server!

Course Outcomes
-Students will utilize programming fundamentals: functions, variables, loops, and conditionals.
-Students will design a game using the Principles of Design Thinking from Stanford’s
-Students will become familiar with basic graphic design by creating pixel art for their Minecraft Resource Pack.
