“Juneteenth in the WB” is a community event to honor National Freedom Day. Juneteenth honors the day the final enslaved people were emancipated in June 1865 and celebrates the countless contributions of African Americans to our nation. Juneteenth also recognizes the power of the human spirit and is often referred to as "Independence Day" for the African American community. We support African American vendors. Our West Bloomfield Social Justice Committee promotes diversity, equity and a strong sense of community. Join us and invite your family, friends and neighbors to this special, uniquely WB event!
