Each member of the Board plays an integral role in furthering this mission. Our continued success depends on the personal commitment and dedication of a select group of individuals, who understand the privileges and obligations of leadership. The Association is currently accepting applications for board vacancies. Applicants must complete this form and submit a current resume to email@example.com by April 17, 2017.
-Support and advance the Association’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and related initiatives.
-Achieve substantive progress on assigned area(s) of strategic action each year.
-Supervise committee(s) and/or workgroup(s) as requested by the Executive Director.
-Support and empower the volunteer structure and provide feedback to the Volunteer Leadership Team on the performance of volunteers where/when appropriate.
-Demonstrate an active commitment to the operations of the Association.
-Promote the Association and its programs and services.
-Maintain confidentiality of the Board of Director’s meetings, and speak for the Association only when authorized to do so.
-Board members serve a 3-year term with eligibility for reappointment. Board members may serve a maximum of 3 terms.
MEETINGS AND OTHER INVOLVEMENT
-Prepare for and participate in monthly conference calls with the Executive Director.
-Attend the NGLA Annual Conference.
-Participate in meetings of the Board of Directors (Wednesday May 31st - Thursday June 1st in Worcester, MA).
-Attend activities and events sponsored by the Association whenever possible.
