Arkansas Peace Week Art Contest Sign Up
Arkansas Peace Week Art contest is open to Arkansas students, 1st - 12th grade.

Art should address the following theme:  What does peace mean to you?  Depict a more peaceful community in your art entry.

Submissions will be judged on the basis of following criteria: understanding and implementation of the theme, uniqueness and artistic style.  

AWARDS
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- 1st & 2nd grades
- 3rd & 4th grades
- 5th & 6th grades
- 7th & 8th grades
- 9th & 10th grades
- 11th & 12th grades

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners in each category will receive prizes including art supplies, educational books and materials.

SUBMITAL:
Art must be two dimensional 8.5"x11" paper, cardboard or stock.  Any medium is allowed, but we recommend using a paint, marker or pencil that wont smear, break off or be damaged during shipment, handling or display.  Entries should not be framed, matted or laminated.

Entries must be submitted and post marked by September 6, and received by September 9, 2022.. To register for the contest, complete this online form.   Art pieces must also be mailed with a printed copy of this entry form to the address below.  *Please include your artist name, art title, grade, school and teacher or parent's name on the back of the piece. *

Only one entry per person is accepted.  Entries must be done by one person; co-authored art are not accepted.

Schools, teachers, faith groups and other youth organizations are encouraged to sponsor and guide students with their submissions. Teacher/Leaders submitting entries for a group of entries, please complete this form with your own name.  Please list each artist name, art title, grade, school and teacher name in Group Entry List field.  Please make sure the artist name, art title, grade, school and teacher or parent's name on the back of the piece.  

Finalists will be announced, and artwork displayed at the Arkansas State Capitol September 18 -25, 2022. Award winners will be announced at the Arkansas State Capitol on September 24. Certificates and prizes will be mailed to the winners.

Submitted content will not be returned. Submitters will relinquish and transfer to Arkansas Peace Week usage rights for submitted content.  Arkansas Peace Week may, without further approval exhibit, distribute, edit, reproduce, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and broadcast the submitted content.
