Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer/intern for QARC! The Queer Alliance Resource Center (QARC) is the oldest LGBTQIA+ organization at UC Berkeley that provides resources, services, and a safe space for QT+ students. The organization is fully student-run, which means that QARC would not be as prominent and successful as it is without dedicated students like YOU! This application is due January 26th at 11:59PM!
We have an Info Session on January 22nd 6-7PM in QARC if you'd like more info on QARC and to ask questions!
Why you should join us?
- Gives you an in-depth perspective of the internal work in QARC and the roles of the Directors.
- Allows you to build on your skills in leadership, communications, decision-making, etc. as you take on your role(s).
- Provides you space to expand your network within the QT+ community and with the campus partners.
Volunteer role would include:
- Supervising QARC during open hours (Monday - Friday, 12pm-5pm)
- Keeping QARC clean and organized
- Answering questions individuals have about our resources
- Tabling to promote events
- Keeping in communication with QARCs Operations Co-Directors and fellow volunteers
- Bringing in good vibes into the space!
- Being in community at the space <3
Volunteers are expected to be in the space 3 hours per week. By inputting your availability below, a volunteer schedule for when you'll be in the space will be created. The schedule is fixed week to week, so the availability you list on this application is what we will use to create volunteer schedules (which can be adjusted if needed). Volunteering allows our space to continue being open to the public!
Intern role would include:
- The role of a volunteer - volunteering 3 hours in the space
- Work closely with the directors in attaining the mission of the Queer Alliance Resource Center (QARC)
