IOWA THESPIAN FESTIVAL 2017 - College Studio Theatre Application
If you are interested in having your college perform at the 2017 Iowa Thespian Festival, submit the application below by 5:00 p.m., June 16, 2017.

This is a great opportunity for your college to perform for hundreds of high school students from across the state. A studio theatre performance would provide high school students a chance to see the high level of work you do. The recruiting opportunity is invaluable! The Iowa Thespian Board may select one or more colleges to perform at the 2017 Iowa Thespian Festival (based on applications and availability). Colleges with accepted bids will be notified in early July 2017.

Studio Theatre performances will take place in either the Strayer-Wood or the Bertha Martin performance spaces.

Studio Theatre shows will be charged a $50 performance fee.

All Studio Theatre show content must be appropriate for a high school audience.

Studio Theatre performances are scheduled into a very limited time frame. Each performance is given 10 minutes to load in, 5 minutes to load out, and a maximum of 45 minutes performance time. You may not bring large set pieces with you, although you will be able to choose from a list of available stock pieces that are housed at UNI. You are encouraged to keep your technical and scenic needs to a minimum. No microphones are allowed.
