URounded is a non-profit education organization that provides students K-11 with free tutoring, workshops, and mentoring sessions. Additionally, there are unique specialist positions that are available for students to learn and gain hands-on experience: Curriculum Specialist (responsible for creating curriculum slides) and Marketing Specialist (responsible for digital marketing/in-person marketing).
In collaboration with BTHS Key Club, Key Clubbers have the opportunity to gain service hours by signing up to be a tutor or curriculum specialist.
Tutors will make lessons for at least 1 session a week to help improve on the targeted academic area that students wish to improve on. Each session has to be at least 30 minutes long and will be decided by the tutor and student.
Curriculum Specialists focus on creating common core curriculum slides that are open-access and free to use for everyone. These slides will be shared to foster care around the country.
The only requirements are to have higher than a GPA of 80.
Benefits include but are not limited to: An entry for your resume, letters of recommendation, service hours, hands-on experience with tutoring, creating curriculums, and in-person/digital marketing.
