The Young Democrats of Utah will be holding elections for members of our executive board at the Utah State Democratic Convention on May 13, 2023. The convention will be held remotely, with call-in details to come at a later time.

Candidate filings will be open from Monday, April 24, 2023 until 5pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Membership in YDU shall be open to residents of the State of Utah who have not yet attained 36 years of age and desire to advance the principles of the Utah Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee. YDU does not exclude on the basis of race, color, ethnic identity, national origin, religion, economic status, gender, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation or ability.

The following positions are up for election to a two-year term:
-President
-National Committee Representative (not female identifying)*

The following positions are up for election to a one-year term:
-Vice President
-Communications Director
-Secretary
-Treasurer
-Young Professionals Caucus Chair
-High School Caucus Chair

*YDU has two National Committee Representatives, who must be of different gender identities. As the incumbent Representative in the position not up for election this year identifies as female, the position up for election must be filled by someone of a different gender identity.
