ILPRC Volunteer Interest Form

The Illinois Prisoner Rights Coalition (ILPRC) is a group of advocates looking to build with like-minded organizations and activists. Our goal is to fight for more just conditions for incarcerated individuals within the Illinois jail/prison system. Coalition building and sharing resources is critical to our coalition's success.

If you would like to join us in this important work, please fill out the form below and someone will be in touch within 48 hours. Thank you so much for your support and contributions to ILPRC.

Tasks will vary depending on your interests and what you feel comfortable with doing! Here is a rundown of some of the usual tasks that volunteers can take on:
  • Research on items such as policies of jails and what rights incarcerated folks have.
  • Outreach to organizations about any advice or assistance we need in a particular case
  • Working on intake calls, processing next steps, etc.
  • Creating social posts for calls to action and for support
  • Crafting emails to individuals we have in our contact list through the IDOC and the like to get clarification on things
  • Sharing social posts
