The annual Material Design Awards honor the best designs from our talented community. For this year’s categories, we’re focusing on products that enlist Material Theming, Dark Theme, or Material Motion to create brilliant, meaningful experiences, across platforms. Read on to learn more about the criteria for each category, and explore some of the latest resources for building with Material Design.

The deadline for self-nominations is October 16, 2020; winners will be announced in December.

Frequently Asked Questions

What products can win a Material Design Award?
A: Any product that uses Material Design and has updated or launched between September 2019 and October 2020.

Can I suggest a product I don’t work on?
A: We are only accepting self-nominations. You or your company has to have worked on the product, and you must have permission to nominate on that product’s behalf.

Can I edit my nomination after I’ve submitted it?
A: No. All submissions are final.

When are self-nominations due?
A: All self-nominations are due by October 16, 2020.

When will the winning products be announced?
A: The Material Design Award winners will be announced in December 2020.
