2020 Small Farm Conf. Workshop Proposal
Thank you for your interest in the 32nd California Small Farm Conference in Paso Robles, CA from February 27 to 29th, 2020. Day one will comprise field days and pre-conference intensives around SLO County of varying lengths, days two and three will comprise the general conference at Cuesta College.
Our mission is to provide relevant educational and networking opportunities and resources to address issues facing farmers, ranchers, local food advocates and farmers’ market managers. We aim to provide workshops that are practical for both beginners and more advanced attendees and that represent and speak to the diversity of those working in California agriculture.
Successful proposals should be concise and focused on a timely topic. If you have multiple proposals, you must fill out one form for each workshop. Proposals that include farmer/rancher speakers will be given priority. Proposals to promote commercial products or services will not be accepted. Panels are limited to three presenters. General conference day workshops (Fri and Sat) are given 1 hour, 15 minutes. Venue includes classrooms with AV as well as an on-site college farm for hands-on workshops and demos.
If your workshop is selected for the conference, one-day registration and one meal will be provided the day of the speaking engagement for up to three speakers from each workshop (this may include speakers and/or workshop coordinator/moderator (if not a speaker). There is no compensation for travel expenses incurred. If there remains a financial barrier to one or any of your speakers from attending, please contact us.
Thank you in advance for your contribution!
