Objectives:
• Discuss the evidence available regarding effectiveness and safety of DOACs for obese patient
• Evaluate the evidence and clinical use of antihistamines for G-CSF induced bone pain
• Describe the pharmacokinetics of DOACs and the evidence surrounding periprocedural bridging of these
agents
• Identify which patients may benefit from aspirin for primary prevention based on recent guidelines and
studies
• To evaluate evidence of use for appetite stimulation among patients without underlying disease, discuss
risks and side effects, and discuss monitoring
• Identify when to use fidaxomicin and what evidence supports its use
• Summarize the mechanism and potential clinical use of meropenem as an antidote in valproic acid toxicity
