To participate in this year’s competition, simply complete the online registration below by November 27th.
Houses must be made and constructed at home. Houses must be dropped off at the Town Garage between 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Voting by the community will take place from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the winning houses will be on displayed at Schneider’s during the Holidays.
Houses Base must not exceed 15” x 15”. House Height must not exceed 15”. House must be placed on a board base. We suggest ½” or ¾” plywood. Thick cardboard or thin wood will bend when lifted due to the weight of the house, which will cause damage to the structure. Your team will place house on display table and house will not be moved until end of voting. Except for the base, entries must be constructed and composed completely of edible material. The main structure should be primarily composed of Gingerbread. A layer of aluminum foil may be used to protect the base. Any entry with non-edible components will be automatically disqualified. Edible materials are not limited to sweets. No artificial display materials, such as Styrofoam or interior lighting are to be used. Candies must be unwrapped and free of non-edible materials.
Join the fun this holiday season. This wonderful community event is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and receive recognition for your family, business, school or group. We look forward to seeing your Gingerbread House!
