Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking at Work
Saturday, April 14th
1:00pm-4:00pm
St. Francis of Assisi Church
15226 21st Ave SW, Burien, WA 98166

We are called by our faith traditions to respond to injustice everywhere. Human trafficking (the exploitation of an individual through force, fraud, or coercion for profit) often goes unrecognized, but could be detected in our daily work lives. Do you know how to respond if you believe someone that you encounter at work is being trafficked or previously experienced labor or sex trafficking? Join the Multifaith Coalition to Address Human Trafficking through the Lens of Compassion for an afternoon training and strategy session on how to detect and respond to human trafficking in your occupation. We will have experts from various industries such as healthcare, hospitality and travel, mental health, education, prison ministry and clergy who can answer your questions and provide resources. (Clock hours available for Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle School teachers.)
