Welcome to the 16th Annual Anchorage International Film Festival!
Please read the following carefully:
If you are planning to attend the 2016 Anchorage International Film Festival, help us prepare for your visit by providing your travel information. It is quite normal to not know your travel dates until your film has a solid schedule. DON’T WAIT to fill out this form if you are very interested in coming, however, as travel stipends and hotel rooms allotted will depend on the number of filmmakers who complete the form by Nov 1, 2016. Like most small, non-profit film festivals, we have a limited budget for travel stipends, and we try to be as fair as we can to all those considering coming to AIFF. Films in competition will be considered with highest priority.
Complimentary lodging for ONE ROOM ONLY FOR TWO NIGHTS ONLY at the Inlet Tower Hotel or the Copper Whale Inn will be offered on a first come/first served basis to filmmakers traveling from OUTSIDE Alaska. If you require more than two nights lodging, payment for any additional nights is your responsibility.
Once the complimentary rooms have been allotted, visiting filmmakers can make reservations for extra nights at reduced rates from our partner hotels:
INLET TOWERS HOTEL: for $59 per night for regular room, $69 per night for suites (code: AIFF). Please contact the hotel directly for other festival specials by calling toll free: 800-544-0786. Be sure to mention the code AIFF for those specials.
COPPER WHALE INN: discount rate of $79 per night private room with shared bath, with complimentary breakfast. $90 per night for private bath. Some rooms accommodate a third person, $20 each additional person over two person occupancy. Use code AIFF 2016 when you book online at www.copperwhale.com
VOYAGEUR INN: $90 per night for single or double occupancy, with kitchenettes and complimentary breakfast. When booking please quote Anchorage Film Fest to get the discounted rate. Call 907-277-9501 or Toll-Free 1-800-777-7066 to reserve.
HOTEL CAPTAIN COOK: Anchorage's only luxury hotel, a discounted rate of $135 per night is offered to those who reference the Anchorage Film Festival. Call 1-800-842-1950 or 907-276-6000 to reserve. www.captaincook.com
Typically, ONLY ONE "ALL FILMS & EVENTS PASS" will be issued per film. If you need additional passes for someone else associated with the film, or for a partner, those can be purchased ONLY from AIFF Staff for the discounted rate of $60 (that's half-off the standard price). Tickets for individual film screenings and workshops are $8 each and can be purchased at the venues. Tickets for the Opening Night Gala are $25 each and can be purchased at the Bear Tooth Theatrepub. Tickets for the Golden Oosikar Awards Gala are $20 (or $10 with a Festival Pass), and each and can be purchased at the door.
After filling out this form, don't forget to engage with AIFF on social media and announce your selection! Facebook, Twitter (@ANCFF), and Instagram (@anchoragefilmfestival) are our favorites.
