Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and your interest in getting your dog or cat spayed or neutered.
If you need help with the cost of surgery, please fill out the form below. Please make sure it is at least 2 weeks prior to your pet's surgery as we are an all volunteer team and depend on the mail running smoothly.
We pay a fixed amount towards the spay/neuter surgery ONLY. We do not pay for any vaccines, bloodwork, etc. Each veterinarian sets their own prices and there may be additional charges such as an office visit or medications. You will need to cover the cost of these items on your own.
The PAWS committee will review your application and may contact you if they have any questions. They primarily contact people through e-mail but also sometimes call.
Upon approval, you will receive a certificate in the mail covering a set amount for your pet at a participating vet clinic. As of 1/13/25, the amounts are as follows - $150 towards a female cat or dog and $100 towards a male cat or dog. You must bring this certificate to your pet's appointment and the clinic will credit your bill for that amount. If the spay/neuter cost is less than the amount of the certificate, no change will be given.
Not all area veterinarians participate in our program. These certificates are ONLY accepted at the following clinics:
Barron Veterinary
Clinic (Barron) 715-537-3197
Bear Creek Animal Hospital (Rice Lake) 715-234-3181
Fur Barn Vet Clinic (Cumberland) 715-822-7571
Northern Lakes Vet Clinic (Cumberland) 715-822-3535
Rice Lake Animal Hospital (Rice Lake) 715-234-4709
NW Wisconsin Veterinary Clinic (Amery) 715-268-6226
If your vet is NOT on this list, a PAWS certificate will NOT work there. Please do not call non-participating clinics and ask them to take our certificates.
All applications must be filled out completely. Please remember all parts of your name, address, etc.
