23-24 SEPAC SOMA Interest Form
The South Orange-Maplewood Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC SOMA) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to guide our work for the 2023-2024 School Year.

SEPAC SOMA is a parent-led group focused on policies, programs, and practices for students with disabilities within our school district. SEPAC provides parents and caregivers with tools and information to work collaboratively with the school district and to be more effective advocates for their children with special learning needs.

SEPAC holds monthly meetings for parents, collaborates closely with members of the District administration and Presidents Council, and interacts with the Board of Education to advocate for effective services and supports for the families we represent.

We are an entirely volunteer organization and we need your help to continue this important work. You can view a description of the various SEPAC board and liaison roles and indicate your interests. Feel free to reach out to the members of the Nominating Committee as well -- we would love to answer any questions you have!
