Below is our 2018 year in review to get an idea of what our events are like:
“We started off the year with a hoot of a time at our owl prowl event, then had a sweet experience at the maple syrup festival, it was awesome at the Amped for Amphibians event, Kids FunFest was more than fun, our adventure at Rock Glen rocked, hummingbird day was a humdinger, the night hike was terrifyingly terrific, the raptor migration was magnificent, and the fungi hike was fantastically fun all fungis and fungirls that attended. We also made available for any young birders or students interested in birds and nature who are enrolled in pre-K, grade school, middle school or high school to be able to download the new version 7.7 of Thayer’s Birds of North America – for FREE. We soared away with 2018 with Lambton County's first ever Christmas Bird Count 4 Kids. We've even been covered by various local news sources including the Sarnia Journal, The Show Live with Dave Burrows, The Observer, and more!”
- Membership benefits include: free and early access to LWI YOUNG NATS programs and events, a subscription to our very own Earthways magazine, nature swag, and more!
- As the membership grows, we may limit attendance to members only. We aren’t there yet, but anticipate this as a possibility in the future.
- Young Naturalist memberships are to be treated separately and NOT included in LWI family memberships due to the extensive separate planning needed for the different programs. LWI family memberships give you and your family access to indoor, outdoor, and other special event programs.
