The Strike team's focus is managing, loading, and organizing usable materials such as set walls, custom props, flooring, lumber and sheet goods. This work is the opposite of demolition! We keep things out of the landfill and get them back into the local creative community where they can be used again and again.
Employment is considered freelance, booked on a project by project basis, and hours vary each day. The position is similar to construction day labor work. There is opportunity for leadership in our work. You may be asked to use tools, drive large vehicles, deconstruct set pieces and other materials, as well as organize and inventory pieces for donation.
Some days may extend into overtime after 8 hours, so schedule flexibility is needed for the type of work we do.
The ability to lift 50+ pounds, work well in a team, and understand basic construction materials is MANDATORY.
Required Skills & Traits:
• Punctual and reliable
• Hard-working and able to work swiftly
• Team player
• Problem solving skills
• Friendly and personable with a positive attitude
• Not afraid to get your hands dirty or work long days
• Respect for the environment
Again, these positions are freelance, with similar days and hours to working as a day laborer on a construction site. You will be loading and unloading large items, working in a team to keep the materials organized.
If you meet the above requirements and are excited to be a part of our team, please fill out the application below.
We will be in contact if you are the right fit for our team!
Note: We are currently hiring for our Los Angeles market, but please still apply if you live in other cities.
