South Dakota Tuition Application
The South Dakota Board of Regents ended the prior reciprocity agreement between Minnesota and South Dakota. The University of Minnesota is committed to honoring the equivalent of the reciprocity tuition rates for current students and for new students starting in fall 2024 and spring 2025. Receiving this rate is not automatic. New students must complete this request form for this special South Dakota rate. If approved, the tuition rate will be applied to your student account. More details are available on the One Stop website.

You will need to submit documentation that confirms your residency. This might be a State issued ID, tax return, or other official mail. Upload the documentation to our online dropbox and complete this form. Contact One Stop Student Services with any questions.
