Teen Advisory Board
The Cranberry Public Library Teen Advisory Board is a group of dedicated high school students who are interested in making a difference at their library. TAB members play a vital role in developing the library's teen collection and teen programming. They also are critical members to the implementing of various programs for our young patrons and making the library a friendlier place for everyone.

Being a TAB member is a commitment. There are usually two meetings per month and the teen librarian will do their best to provide at least 1 other volunteer opportunity a month for TAB members. In return TAB members receive volunteer service for meetings attended and attending and assisting at other library programs.
Shelf Reading/Shelver Volunteers
The Children's Room sometimes needs help with keeping books in order and looking nice. Shelf reading is an important part of library maintenance. It includes "reading" each spine label in order to ensure that the books are properly shelved. Our young patrons often place books back on the shelves without knowing exactly where the book should be placed. Shelf reading is done almost entirely on your own time. All that is needed is to set up a 10-minute introduction meeting with Miss Janae, the Teen Librarian or The Children's Librarian Miss Glynnis. From there you can come in at your own pace and shelf read. Those who prove reliable and able can move from shelf reading to shelving.
