Book Sale Volunteer Application

Are you friendly, outgoing, and able to stand for 2-3 hours? We need your help! We are looking for volunteers with great retail/customer service skills to help at Literacy Network's June Book Sale, which will raise much-needed funds for adult literacy programs in Dane County. Our Book Sales are held several times a year in the basement of Literacy Network at 701 Dane Street (at S. Park; behind Walgreens).

Volunteer duties include: sorting books, greeting guests, and supporting the check-out process. Volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their shift for a short training and must stay for the duration of the shift they sign up for.

Volunteers must be at least 16yo and:
*Be friendly, warm, and customer-service oriented
*Have great organizational skills (from taking transactions to tidying up the sales area)
*Able to stand for 3-4 hours and lift up to 20lbs
*Be able to go 3-4 hours without staring at a smartphone (focus should be on the sale)

Please complete this form if you are interested in volunteering. Completing this form does not ensure you a position; we will contact you to verify your participation.
