Activity: Furniture Movers

Blurb of volunteer role: Move furniture in and around Arlington on behalf of families who are moving into Sullivan House, or into rapid re-housing. You'll need your strength, maybe some basic tools to assemble/disassemble furniture, and a large vehicle.

Activity: Bridges Event Committee

Activity: Brand and Community Ambassador

Blurb of volunteer role: Post events to community calendars, create Facebook events, disseminate flyers, pack supplies for upcoming fairs, contact grocery stores to set up donation stands, and more!

Activity: Tutoring Youth on School Subjects

Blurb of volunteer role: We need three people for the following students: 1. a 13-year-old female 8th grader who needs extra help with math (tutor must be available Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 pm); 2. A 13-year-old male 8th grader who needs extra help with math (tutor must be available Mondays or Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm); 3. A 10-year-old male 5th grader who needs help in all subject matters (tutor must be available either Mondays or Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm).

Activity: Mentoring Youth through the Youth Leadership Academy
Date/Time: Sign up now -- commitment is one hour every week through June 2020

Number of volunteers needed: about 5 to 7 people
Blurb of volunteer role: We need two people for the following students: 1. A 17-year-old 12th grader who would be able to have a first meeting on a Wednesday or Friday from 5:00-6:00 PM; 2. An 18-year-old 12th grader who would be able to have a first meeting on Wednesday or Thursday from 6:30-7:30 PM; 3. An 18 year old, 12th grader, who would be able to have a first meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 4:30 - 5:30 PM or Friday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Number of volunteers needed: 2-3 people
Blurb of volunteer role: provide breakfast snacks (muffins, bagels, juice, etc. ) for attendees of Financial Counseling Clinic. 3-6 participants will attend, so we will need 2-3 volunteers to bring snacks.

Activity: Demographics/Data Research Project
