Music House Sessions for children and young people with Down syndrome and ASD
We have been looking at ways to create more opportunities and support for families who have children or young people with a dual diagnosis of Down syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), who are in the assessment process or are just wondering if their child or young person may also have ASC.

We have an opportunity to do some music exploration sessions at Music House in Leeds during October half term - these sessions will have a variety of spaces and musical instruments to try out, explore, or just observe; some will be rooms with just one instrument which can be very quiet but there will also be lots of opportunity to experiment with different sounds and instruments. Or if you have your own favourite instrument please feel free to bring it along.

There will also be a space for families to chat together and have a drink and for us to talk to people about what support & activities people feel may be beneficial for children and young people but also for parents and carers.

We would like to know which session(s) people would be able to attend so we can confirm with Music House and so they can book musicians to help facilitate the sessions! Thank you!
