Players who have started ninth grade through players who have graduated from high school are ineligible for scholarships from Tennis and Life Camps at Gustavus; this is an NCAA bylaw. Middle school players playing on high school teams should check with their athletics department or principal to see if acceptance of a scholarship would affect their playing eligibility.
We do have spaces set aside in most camps for successful scholarship applicants, but if you would like to sign up for camp and pay a deposit or in full to assure the camp of your choice, you may do so.
Campers who do not receive the amount requested may cancel their registration and receive a full refund within a week of the award announcement.
There will be an optional section for junior campers to upload a report card. In addition, there will be a camper essay section of the application where essays may be entered on the form, uploaded to the form, or sent via e-mail. A minimum of one paragraph is required for each prompt. If you would like to complete these in a text document in advance, the prompts are below:
1. What do you (or your family) hope to gain from attending Tennis and Life Camps?2. Describe a time you (or your family) faced a challenge (in tennis or off-court), how you overcame that challenge, and how it made you grow as a person (or family).
