***IMPORTANT***What is the IGNITE College Council? The IGNITE College Council is a regional body made up of politically motivated and ambitious women leaders who want to build their own leadership skills and bring the IGNITE program to their college campuses. The Council meets quarterly to discuss relevant policy issues, hear from dynamic elected official speakers, develop political leadership skills, build a network that can facilitate their ambitions for civic and political leadership, and receive resources to support and sustain their IGNITE college chapters.
Council Membership - Once selected, active college council members must be: 1)Currently enrolled or recent graduates of a regional college or university 2)Committed to serving at least 1 full year on the College Council 3)Willing to participate in community service and outreach activities held by the Council 4)Ability to attend college chapter training at the beginning of the school year 4) Ability to attend at least 3 of the 4 Council meetings 5) Familiar with and knowledgeable about the IGNITE program 6) Desire and capacity to start/maintain an IGNITE chapter on their campus
