In addition to the parade, our neighbors at 350 Richmond Terrance will be hosting a trick or treat in our school for our students. They will give each child a goodie bag that will be send home with them in their backpacks. Children will be instructed NOT to open goodie bag until they are home.
How can our students participate safely during the Halloween Harvest Parade? In order to make the day enjoyable and safe for everyone, we ask the following:
• Costumes must be appropriate for the school environment. They must be able to walk through the hallways and stairs without any difficulty. They must be able to use the bathroom without assistance. • No accessories (swords, chains, etc.), facemasks, heavy face make-up or fake blood allowed. These may impede vision, become a distraction and pose a safety risk to others.• We will not take on the responsibility of changing students into or out of their costumes. Students will be allowed to remove their costumes if they are wearing clothes underneath and are able to do it independently.
How can families get involved?Families and friends are invited to attend our Halloween Harvest Parade. The parade will begin at 8:45am. Students will come out through the main entrance, walk along Richmond Terrace to St. Peter’s Place and into the schoolyard. You may join us along the perimeter and cheer them on as they walk proudly alongside their classmates. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled.
