Have you ever supported folks who are unhoused or precariously housed? If so, in what capacity? *
OTC is building a community on a foundation of low-barrier supports and harm reduction. We believe that housing is a human right, and there is enough housing for all of us. Being unhoused is the result of systemic barriers and not the fault of individuals. These barriers could be due to poverty, criminalization, racism and colonialism, transphobia, homophobia, food insecurity, inadequate access to physical & mental health supports, challenges & stigmas associated with alcohol and substance use, and varying levels of ability and life skills. We believe that there are better answers to the systems that are in place now.

What do you think about these ideas? Are you interested in learning more? Do these ideas already align with your values? If yes, how so? If no, please explain why.

Do you drive, have access to a car and are willing to support with pick up or drop off of supplies? *
Are you 18 or older? *
because our organization is harm reduction focused and offers low barrier support for our residents, we require volunteers to be 18+ to be onsite. However, there are plenty of off site opportunities for our younger volunteers! Knowing who is who allows us to send our volunteers the correct information.

Is there anything else you would like to share that has not been mentioned above?
Thank you so much!!!
