Where is the material coming from?
Will you provide your own copy of the textbook to scan, or do you need the HSU Library to send a copy to the ARC office? Please note: The library will not loan print reserve books until the library is open (Fall 2021).
I will provide my own copy of the textbook and schedule a drop off with ARC (707) 826-4200 or email
(drop off point: GH 221, on the corner of Laurel and B streets).
I would like the library to send the reserve copy for scanning to ARC

What questions do you have?
FAQ: Can I have 15% of a textbook scanned, then replace it with the next 15%? **Answer** "Unfortunately, that type of use would violate copyright; segmented copying essentially eliminates the need to purchase the whole book, which is the protection the law was designed for, the allowances are limited, e.g. 10-15% for academic purpose... to balance the rights of author/publisher with the needs of reader/learner." Cyril Oberlander, HSU Library Dean
